Step 1 — Download the Neto image
Download the Neto disk image to your computer. This file contains a complete, ready-to-run version of Neto — no setup on the Pi itself is required.
Download Neto v1.0 neto-1.0.img.gz · ~1.2 GB · For all compatible Pi modelsStep 2 — Write to SD card
You'll need a tool to write the image to your SD card. We recommend either of these free applications:
Insert your SD card
Insert the SD card into your computer's card reader. If your computer doesn't have one built in, use a USB card reader.
Open your imaging tool and select the Neto image
Raspberry Pi Imager: Click Choose OS → Use custom and select the neto-1.0.img.gz file you downloaded.
balenaEtcher: Click Flash from file and select the neto-1.0.img.gz file.
Select your SD card
Choose your SD card as the target. Double-check you've selected the right drive — writing will erase everything on it.
Write the image
Click Write (Imager) or Flash (Etcher) and wait for it to complete. This takes 3–8 minutes depending on your SD card speed.
Once finished, safely eject the SD card from your computer.
Step 3 — Power on & complete setup
Insert the SD card and power on
Insert the SD card into your Raspberry Pi and plug in the power supply. The first boot takes about 60 seconds.
Connect to Neto
Neto will either use your ethernet connection or create a temporary WiFi hotspot called Neto-Setup:
