After powering on your Pi for the first time, wait about 60 seconds for it to boot. Then open a browser on your phone, tablet, or laptop and visit:
If that doesn't work, Neto may be in hotspot mode. Check which situation applies to you:

The setup wizard walks you through three steps:
Licence
Choose how you'd like to use Neto. You have three options:
- Enter a licence key — if you've already purchased a plan, enter your key here to activate immediately
- Start 30-day free trial — full access to all features, no credit card required
- Purchase a plan — clicking any of the plan cards opens the checkout page in a new tab. After purchasing you'll receive a key by email — come back and enter it
WiFi credentials
Enter your WiFi network details. Neto scans for nearby networks and shows them as quick-tap options — just tap your network name to fill it in automatically.
- 2.4 GHz SSID — your network name (e.g.
MyNetwork) - 2.4 GHz password — your WiFi password
- 5 GHz SSID — optional but recommended (e.g.
MyNetwork_5G) - 5 GHz password — usually the same as 2.4 GHz
- Dashboard username & password — what you'll use to log in. Change the defaults from
admin/admin
Done
Neto saves your settings and connects to your WiFi. The setup page shows a progress indicator while this happens — it usually takes 10–30 seconds. Once connected, you're automatically redirected to the dashboard.
If you were connected via the Neto-Setup hotspot, it will disappear at this point — your device will switch back to your normal WiFi network. The dashboard will be accessible at http://neto.local:8080 from now on.
After setup completes
Once setup is complete, Neto starts monitoring immediately. The first full test cycle runs within 5 minutes and results appear on the dashboard automatically.
Recommended first steps
After setup, we recommend doing these things before your first monitoring results come in:
- Change your dashboard password from the default in Settings → Login credentials
- Confirm both bands are correctly configured by checking the dashboard after the first test cycle
- Review test targets in Settings — the defaults work for most users but you can customise the ping IP, DNS host, and webpage URL
- Decide whether to enable auto-install updates in Settings → Automatic updates
- If you started a trial, consider activating a licence from the Licence page before the 30 days elapse
